Who We Are
My husband Keith and I started our umbrella company, TeamOwens313 LLC, in December 2007, and I opened the first of my three companies, Writing It Right For You, in July 2008. By 2017, I had expanded to three separate but related companies and a weekly podcast with 200+ episodes by 2020.
Keith is an award-winning journalist, a news editor, an op-ed writer, a ghostwriter, a published fiction author, a communications specialist, a podcaster, and a professional musician.
Pam is a copywriter, a ghostwriter, a published nonfiction author, an editor, an independent book publisher, a public speaker, a branding and marketing specialist, a business consultant, and a podcaster.
Except for his fiction writing and music, Keith has primarily been employed with many different companies and corporations throughout his career.
Pam worked in education and corporate and direct sales leadership positions before becoming fully self-employed in 2008.
In addition to their expertise, Keith and Pam both bring decades of corporate and entrepreneurial experiences to their work.
From the very beginning, we have strongly believed that creatives like us, and indeed, all solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, and other business people, should be paid for their work and even more importantly, paid for the value they bring to the table.
Charging for Content, Experience, Expertise, and Value
The TeamOwens313 Global Creative Community (TO313 GCC) is a site that offers several types of content, including articles, op-eds, and weekly podcasts. We are also building an exclusive community of creative and solo professionals and other entrepreneurs where our members can communicate with us and with others in an open exchange of ideas. We will have monthly webinars with industry experts and other value-added elements.
Generating and managing all of this takes time and money, and is only possible because of the experience, expertise, and value of the hosts. There are no advertisements popping up or local or national sponsorship by large entities. There are only three of us, Keith, Pam, and Andy (short for Andrea). We are the entire TeamOwens313 Global Creative Community, and we are supported only by our members.
That is our value and that is the basis for charging at different membership levels.
What our members receive is not available elsewhere (or there will be early access available), and the cost of sponsoring our site is very similar to subscription fees paid for other forms of media.
Paid Memberships Sponsor Our Site
Access to the content and other offerings on this site requires a paid membership (after a 7-day free trial). The monthly cost equals approximately only about $6.25 per week. The annual membership, discounted by 20%, equals a weekly cost of only about $4.60!
Many similar sites and communities, when growing their memberships throw out a wide net and accept just about anyone and everyone, just to boost their “numbers.”
Keith and I have a different approach. We are the Global Creative COMMUNITY because we not only bring you value, but we value YOU.
We are looking for quality over quantity as we grow our membership. You also bring value to our community, and since you, in turn, value what we offer, you see the benefits of a paid membership.
It’s a win-win: we get paid for our work, and you receive information, education, and entertainment articles and podcast episodes not available anywhere else.
