Welcome to this Today in Black History post. Black History IS American History, no matter how hard some people try to erase our history and contributions.

Today’s Black WOW: In about 2.5 years in office, President Joe Biden has appointed 154 life-tenured judicial nominees who have been confirmed by the Senate. About 102 of those appointees are women and people of color, including Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first Black female justice on the Supreme Court. To continue this historic trajectory, in the 2024 election, Joe Biden needs to be re-elected, and the Senate majority needs to be held and expanded.
Today’s Black History:
In 2022, Black Democratic Congresswoman Karen Bass became the first woman elected as Mayor of Los Angeles.
Ridin’ With Biden
On the days when there are not a lot of “Black History” facts, I will continue to remind people why we must support the Biden-Harris administration’s re-election.
Remember that unlike the Republicans who only support their rich friends and MAGA policies, the Democrats are working for all Americans.
Here are a few of the Democratic accomplishments led by President Biden and Vice President Harris that also positively impact the lives of Black Americans:
There is now a record low unemployment rate for African Americans.
Free or low-cost high-speed internet access through the Affordable Connectivity Program.
More than 40 million borrowers, primarily Black women, are benefitting from efforts on student debt relief.
The cost of insulin was brought down to only $35 per month.
A reminder that Republicans opposed all of these efforts, and 3rd-party candidates have nothing to offer but big talk.
Let’s discuss these facts in our community on Substack Notes.
