On May 14, 2022, at 2:30 in the afternoon, an 18-year-old self-described white supremacist and anti-Semite dressed in body armor and carrying assault rifles went into the only full-service grocery store in a majority-Black neighborhood in Buffalo and opened fire. He shot 13 people and killed 10, all of them Black.
