Season 2, Episode 32 January 7, 2023
Happy New Year!
Watching the chaos last week that led to the election of Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as the newest Speaker of the House was a lesson in dysfunction and appeasement on the part of the Republican Party, and also a lesson in unity and leadership from Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) and the Democrats.
In this 30-minute episode, our first episode for 2023, we discuss what happened this past week and what the situation may mean for the next two years in the 118th Congress.
I am also posting the video of Leader Jeffries’ dynamic and historic first speech in his new position.
