We WILL be silent…but only until next Monday.
It is now the third day after the 2024 Elections.
Not all of the ballots have been counted.
People’s emotions are all over the place.
We need time to process everything and to decide what to do next.
In her concession speech, Vice President Kamala Harris said that we are NOT giving up to the fight.
President Biden said: “Set backs are unavoidable, but giving up is unacceptable.”
He continued: “A defeat does not mean we are defeated.”
Here at “We Are Speaking” (WAS), we are going to do two things starting next Monday:
We will resume our regular weekly schedule: “Today In Black History” articles on Mondays and Wednesdays, and “The Choice” articles on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Our “The Choice” articles, which in the “Before Time,” focused on support of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, will now focus on our “new reality” and how we can effectively fight against Trump and MAGA. Stay tuned.
What we’re not gonna do is waste time on the “Blame Game.”
We will be addressing the current issues one or two at a time and give YOU “The Choice” of how to “Regroup, Reframe, and Recommit” so that we fight, not fear.
We look forward to you continuing to support us as you have so far.
