Doing What I Want When I Want
As most of my friends, family, colleagues, and clients know, I finally retired on September 8, 2020. I started the first of my three companies in 2008, and before that, I had two other careers.
The decision was hard because I’ve worked part- or full-time for over 54 years, ever since I graduated from high school and started college at age 16. Even when had summers off as a teacher, I still worked most summers.
But it was also easier than I thought to just STOP WORKING. I canceled all of the speaking engagements on my calendar, as well as the podcast recordings I had scheduled for the next two months. I told all of the people who were leads and prospects that I would no longer be accepting new clients.
Many people were shocked because they knew how much I love what I do. But it was time.
