Attorney General Merrick Garland Requests the Release of the Mar-a-Lago Search Warrant and Inventory Receipts

The FBI did not publicize the search warrant activity, #TFG did. He and his attorneys have copies of both the warrant and the inventory receipt document, but #TFG did not release those documents. Why not?
All of the screaming and yelling and rending of garments and threats to the Justice Department, the magistrate who signed the warrant, and the FBI led one of Trump’s supporters to try to shoot up an FBI office in Ohio this morning.
Attorney General Merrick Garland held a press conference this afternoon where he made a statement and answered no questions.
He told *people* in no uncertain terms that what he and the FBI did was legal and “by-the-book” and he decried the verbal assaults on his people. All those cries by the radical right-wing will now ring hollow.
If Trump tries to stop the release of the documents, people will wonder what is he hiding…
Here is a link to a NYT article that explains that first, a subpoena (the “request”) was issued months ago, and when that request did not yield everything the National Archives office wanted, they asked the FBI to issue a search warrant (the “demand”) for the rest.
That’s what happened last Monday.
Here is my Tuesday, August 9, 2022, article about FBI subpoenas and warrants:
I’ll bet some Republicans are mad that they blocked Merrick Garland’s nomination to the SCOTUS! The Quiet but Notorious MG does not play!
Let us know what you think!
Brilliant! And the Judge gave Trump until 3 tomorrow to comply. Good for Garland.
