First, because of COVID, people in general have become more comfortable being on camera than they were before. Why I Love Using Loom
I am one of those people who is starting to use video more and more, even as I am learning to be more comfortable in front of the camera. There are a plethora of video recording apps available, but the one I am using is called Loom. Founded in 2015, Loom was originally developed for teams to communicate with each other via video instead of never-ending emails. Now, however, people use Loom to make videos for sales, for marketing, for education, and so forth. Over 12 million people now use Loom.
Loom is very easy to use on your computer, on your phone, and/or on your tablet. Once you make a video of any length, you can immediately share it in a variety of ways, and when someone clicks on the link to view your video, you can be notified.
I plan on using Loom to record videos for all of the different components of my business, including recording instructions for my VA instead of just emailing her. My VA is totally Spanish/English bilingual, and she records some videos for our prospects and clients in English and in Spanish.

As a marketer, one feature I really appreciate is the ability to add a customized CTA (Call-to-Action) to the video. Once the video has been watched, I can send the person to another site to do something, I can see who has watched the video and for how long, I can draw on my screen as I am recording, and the viewers can add comments and even emojis to the video. I can even instantly edit the video before I share it.
Loom videos can be shared by giving people a copy of the link, or by embedding the video in your email or on your website, or by downloading the video (up to 20GB or 3 hours in size) and then uploading it to sites such as YouTube. As a solopreneur, I am paying for the Business Level plan: $10/month/Creator or $20/month for me and for my VA; very affordable for me and for my circumstances.
Yes, there are much more expensive, more feature-rich, and more complicated video recording and editing options out there, but for quick, easy-to-make, and shareable videos, I am sure I am going to love using Loom.
